Issue 24 of the NAC Newsletter is now available!

In this special edition, Issue 24 of the NAC Newsletter celebrates the creative spirit of our clients, residents and staff through their hobbies and artistic passions. From crochet and woodwork to gardening, writing, and baking, this issue highlights the joy and wellbeing that creativity brings to our community.

You’ll meet Iris, who crochets colourful squares for rescue dogs; Dot, who enjoys diamond art inspired by her granddaughter; and Michael, who finds happiness in hiking and connecting with nature. Melissa shares her clever crochet turtle memory game, while Wilma crochets baby items for her great-grandchild on the way. Jude has created beautiful planters and a Tuscan-inspired garden space, and Pina finds joy in intricate crochet work. Ruth spins and weaves hand-spun wool for her many exhibited pieces, and Rueben has been crafting wooden sculptures for over 40 years. Evelyn contributes her heartfelt writing, Carole shares her favourite choc chip cookie recipe, and Wendy showcases a homemade patchwork blanket now proudly displayed in the NAC office.

This edition is a heartfelt reminder of how creative expression connects us all and adds beauty and meaning to everyday life.

Issue 22 of the NAC Newsletter is now available!

Issue 22 of the NAC newsletter marks significant farewells, with beloved GP Dr. Alison Bailey retiring after more than 20 years of service in the Macedon Ranges. Though retired, she will continue on a casual basis. Nurse Kerrie also retired, just short of her 10-year anniversary, having been a valued member of the residential and home care teams.

Home Care client Rueben is featured for his unique woodwork talent, discovered by chance over 40 years ago. His beautifully restored wood pieces have been shared with friends, family, and even the NAC office.

This newsletter emphasizes the importance of client feedback. The Client Advisory Group (CAG) encourages all clients to speak up - whether to share concerns or suggestions. NAC also welcomes new members to join the group to help shape care and services.

A reminder that the NAC Afternoon Tea is scheduled for May 14, 2025, offering a chance for community members to connect. The Afternoon Tea will be held at the NAC office: 63 Urquhart Street, Woodend VIC 3442.
