Newsletters

Issue 29 of the NAC Newsletter is now available!

The June - July 2026 edition of the NAC Newsletter highlights important information, community updates and resources designed to support older Australians. A featured story from Personal Care Worker John shares his recent train journey to the newly opened Parkville Station, demonstrating how accessible public transport can make travelling to major healthcare facilities such as the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre easier for clients and community members.

This edition also recognises NAIDOC Week 2026, celebrating the theme “50 Years of Deadly” and acknowledging the strength, culture, and contributions of First Nations peoples. New Aged Care proudly honours and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and communities while encouraging awareness and participation in this important national celebration.

Additionally, the newsletter provides valuable health and aged care information, including the benefits of a Home Medicines Review (HMR), which helps older people manage medications safely and effectively. Readers are also reminded of their rights under Australia’s aged care system, including the right to choice, dignity, respect and quality care.

The newsletter concludes with details about New Aged Care’s after-hours support service, upcoming afternoon tea event, and opportunities for clients to provide feedback and stay connected with the organisation.

Issue 28 of the NAC Newsletter is now available!

Our April & May newsletter highlights key updates, client stories and community initiatives at New Aged Care. The Client Advisory Group (CAG) continues to play an important role in shaping services, providing valuable feedback on care quality, technology use and upcoming changes to the Support at Home program.

We share meaningful client experiences, including a visit to the Kyneton Annual Flower Show. We also encourage participation in our General Practice Patient Survey to help improve our services. Community connection remains a focus, with opportunities such as a weekly dementia-friendly singing group and upcoming NAC Afternoon Teas.

The newsletter also reinforces important information around client rights, safety and respectful care, including guidance on staff phone use during services and how to raise concerns through our whistleblower process.

Additionally, we highlight our commitment to inclusive care through LGBTI+ training initiatives, celebrate staff and community achievements, and provide updates on holiday hours and new team members.
